14 credits at Level 2 in NCEA Mathematics or Physics, or a minimum of 8 credits at Level 3 in NCEA across Mathematics and/or Physics.
The JS offering is only available to students taking part in the Jump Start programme, which is a transition to University programme that runs 4 weeks before A Trimester orientation.
A review of core topics in engineering maths and numerical modelling that underpin study in professional engineering. Topics include university entry-level algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, complex numbers, numerical computation and modelling.

For students wishing to use ENGEN100 for entry into BE(Hons) papers, a minimum of a B- (65%) grade must be achieved with a minimum of 40% in each of the three topics of mathematics, mechanics and electricity.
