International programmes

Waikato Management School (WMS) has a strong track record in delivering tailored executive training programmes for international delegations.

These programmes showcase WMS's distinctive expertise in business, management, finance, economics, agriculture, tourism, and export trade. 

In 2024, we successfully delivered executive training programmes to two separate groups of senior government officials from Vietnam:

• Group 1 - Science, technology and innovation - policies and experiences in developing creative startup ecosystems and innovation models.
• Group 2 - Agricultural management, leadership, and public management, with a focus on the role of local government.

The programmes combined morning lectures at the  University of Waikato's campus with afternoon site visits to leading organisations in the Waikato region, including Fonterra, Gallagher, Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC), Comvita, and Miraka.

In 2025, Waikato Management School will welcome a new group of Vietnamese officials for a 12-week study and research programme, continuing to build strong ties between Vietnam and The University of Waikato.
