Hamilton Campus Event Facilities
The University of Waikato offers unique and purpose-built options for conferences, workshops, meetings, and events, and is easily accessible from Hamilton's Central Business District.
Facilities on our Hamilton Campus can accommodate events and functions from 10 – 700+ and include lecture theatres and workshop spaces, as well as purpose-built conference, event and performing arts venues, and the University Wharenui. All facilities at the University of Waikato are fitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, and our fantastic team is available to support you with your needs.
The University of Waikato has several additional facilities available, which can be arranged with support from our helpful team, including delegate accommodation (outside of university teaching periods), gym facilities, tennis courts, sports fields, Parkrun, a chapel, 24/7 security, and on-campus parking.

Located at the heart of campus, The Pā boasts a large and open student hub space, multi-functional conferencing space, and the University Wharenui.
Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts
The Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts (GAPA), offers versatile event spaces including two theatres, multi-functional flat floor rooms, and spacious foyer space.
The Don Llewellyn Bar
The Don is an ideal location for any celebration or event with a great vista over the University fields.
Lady Goodfellow Chapel
The Chapel overlooks one of the University's beautiful lakes and is a tranquil setting for a variety of activities and events.
